Performing for about three years, Dorkstar is an energetic original Austin rock band with a versatile sound. Their style is characterized by a driving rhythm section, melodic vocals, and provocative guitar licks. Somewhat eclectic, Dorkstar’s songs range from soft-acoustic to garage punk, with song subjects from music industry commercialism to making breakfast. Their debut album, “Commercial Rock”, was released in March 2005. Champing at the bit for something new, the band has already started work on their second album.
