Formed in early 2006, Eve of Autumn started with long-time band mates and friends, Chris Murray and Mike Mann. They decided early on that they were going to break the mold of the average rock sound by using not only aggressive, in-your-face guitar riffs, but a powerful, laid back rhythm section as well. Shortly after the E.O.A. concept idea and direction, Mike’s long time friend Jihad (punk/ska guitarist turned alternative metal bassist) joined the band to complete the instrumental line-up. Not wasting any time the trio hit the studio hard to record their first 3 track demo while going through numerous vocal auditions. After months of try-outs they finally came across "not just a singer, the singer". Eric Shepherd came into the group with not only the vocal ability that E.O.A. was searching for, but the passion and drive as well. Aspects that set them apart from other performers are their undeniable mainstream viability and flowing, yet groovy eclectic charm. From one song to the next, the listener is held by stories that one can relate to and by the music that makes you move. With the line-up now complete, Eve of Autumn is currently booking shows in and around the Houston, Dallas, and Austin markets. Planning the release of a full-length album early 2007, they will hit the scene extremely hard with plans of a West Coast tour in the summer of 2008.
