MAYTA's history began 2 years ago when three peruvian brothers, moved by the electric impulse of music, decided to collaborate in a band that would POINT towards innovation and musical "mixture". With influences that go from classics like Pink FLoyd, Deep Purple and Metallica to the complexity of bands like King Crimson, Yes and Ruben Blades. Mayta has been cataloged as a Latin/Progressive/Alternative/Rock band by many followers. The bands' live psychedelic show blends magically with Chino's edgy guitar riffs, Ivan's strong bass sound, Chris' latin infused hard drums and Renato's eclectic lyrics creating a unique and unforgettable musical experience.
