Mexico formed in the summer of 2006. After playing drums for another local band, singer/guitarist Jonny Mack began jamming with keyboard player James Seyer. Soon after, long time friend Austin Longacre joined on guitar. The group had two rehearsals before Jonny's long time musical accomplice, Rich Williams, joined on bass. Rounding out the group - and by far the most talented of them all - is Nathan Leininger on drums. After a few months of rehearsals, Mexico played their first show on October 5, 2006, at Club Clearview in Deep Ellum.
