Literally from that 'Basement On a Hill' their late Texas brother Elliott Smith referred to, this quartet refuses to be kept underground. Since their formation in late 2003, Modico has turned heads and raised eyebrows all across Texas. Hailing from Fort Worth, Modico's beginnings are rooted where the roots actually grow; from the basement of a house on a hill. Modico set out to create something new and something original. Just like Dre, they've spent time "in the lab, with the pen and the pad" constantly experimenting, creating, and recreating. The end product is something that the ear begs to hear and the soul yearns to feel. While embracing their influences, Modico seems to turn a blind eye. What they have is "something fresh and entirely their own" (Jason M, Sample Press). It's a new experience that transcends the static poppiness that floods the radio and demands you to move from the pretentious indie wasteland that plagues the internet. This is music for those who are fed up with the status quo. This is music for anyone who has ever questioned, why? This is music for a revolution.
