he Everyday People may be Austin’s best kept secret, but with the release of their highly anticipated full-length studio album “Catch Me” the band is a secret that won’t be kept for long. The Everyday People have built themselves a strong and steady fan-base through relentless touring and their first studio effort, an EP entitled “Complicated,” which was met with great praise from both fans and critics alike. “Catch Me” follows suit, serving up more of The Everyday People’s catchy, hook-laden blend of soul infused rock and roll. “Catch Me” is an album that truly demonstrates the musical range of the Everyday People. Jeffrey David’s emotive vocal performance combines perfectly with the quiet yet impressive guitar skills of A.D. Hernandez. Add the solid and often funky bass lines of Chris York and the subtle yet powerful drumming of Mitch Cheatham and the result is nothing less than a pure toe-tappin’ rock-n-soul album. On March 9, The Everyday People celebrated the release of “Catch Me” at their CD release party at The Parish in downtown Austin.
