The Flametrick Subs hail from Austin, Texas. Formed in 1989 by lead vocals/guitarist, Buster Crash and lead guitarist, Clem Hoot, The Subs are still rockin' harder than ever. The Flametrick Subs have always been, and always will be a raw, high energy-filled live performance with a fine blend of psycho-alien-voodoo-bad girl originals. A little Johnny Cash...a bit of The Cramps, and a touch of The Ramones. Most of all, they're all drinkin' songs! Adding even more to this insane rock 'n' roll show, The Subs are joined by the finest go-go dancers from HELL, The Satan's Cheerleaders! The Flametrick Subs have four CD releases under their belt. In 1997, "Amaze Your Friends With X-Ray Glasses!" (Teen Rebel/Texas Flat Lizard), and in 1998, "Undead At The Black Cat Lounge" (Texas Flat Lizard). Their third and latest CD, "Something in Japanese" (Kranzke/Texas Flat Lizard), was released in the spring of 2002. The Subs also have two previous cassette releases. The first recording of The Flametrick Subs from 1993 is "Too Hot To Hoot" (Texas Flat Lizard...good luck finding it!), and the second is a self titled demo that ended up being released some time last century. A fourth CD, "Voodoo Doo" (Texas Flat Lizard), was released in March '06. Also, look for a live DVD to be released in May '06 featuring The Flametrick Subs & The Satan's Cheerleaders recorded live at Antone's in Austin, TX August '05. The DVD will also include a recent music video of "Buzzbomb".
