Deflicted was born in a humble East Texas town called Wills Point by two youths who met in the summer of 1986. The Skeeters little league baseball team is where Josh and Nate found that they sucked at baseball. Two summers proved this, and so, they moved on to other things in which they sucked, but they sucked with passion! A series of artistic adventures including comic books, poems, marching band (Josh), etc. led to the penultimate artistic expression: Deflicted! When Josh and Nate first picked up guitars, they played with heart and soul, so much so, that at their first show they played over 20 "songs" and scared off almost all their friends. When Josh and Nate started college at East Texas State in Commerce, that is when Deflicted really flourished. Songs were written, chords were played, lyrics sung, and the crowd went nuts! We played almost every kind of party that would have us, picking up some new members along the way. Coby Markum was our first drummer, and Shad Wilson was the first bass player we employed. Soon after Coby's departure, Shad took up drums, and the classic Deflicted sound was born. After college, we picked up a new drummer in Guy Cramer, and then bass was played by Kevin Gibbs, and the keyboards are rocked by Casey Mitchell. And at the center of it all is Josh and Nate - Deflicted!
