The Farstar is a noise pop band from Dallas, Texas.

The group’s music has received rave reviews and established airplay in several markets. The band's music is featured in independent films, commercials, various compilations, samplers and podcasts.

Currently, the band is hard at work developing and recording compositions to follow up their debut L.P. “Broken Down and Wandering”. These songs will be released on the “Back to Life E.P.” due in late 2007, and full length L.P. due out in 2008.

The FARSTAR's line up is as follows: Shannon Barrett (vocals, keyboard), Zech Lumpkin (guitar, backing vocals), Chris Hathcock (guitar), Michael Maney (bass) and Lance Lindsey (drums).

The band has shared the stage with many major and regional acts. The band has performed at numerous showcases, festivals, radio sponsored shows and charity functions. The FARSTAR hopes to bring joy to both your ears and eyes soon.
